Today I am going to discuss my trip to Daylesford Organic Farm. Each summer, I look forward to our family trip to the Cotswolds. A region filled with charming villages, rolling hills, and quintessential English beauty. Our annual tradition begins with a stay in Cheltenham, where we reunite with loved ones and immerse ourselves in the relaxing countryside lifestyle. Before arriving at our family’s peaceful nook, we always make an exciting detour to see a show by Giffords Circus—a magical experience. Full of laughter, dazzling performances, and nostalgic circus charm. With the taste of sweet popcorn lingering and our hearts full of joy, we set off on the scenic drive through winding country roads toward Cheltenham. We love passing the golden farmlands rich with an array of grains and vibrant colours.

What I Love About Daylesford Organic Farm
Long summer days with family in Cheltenham are filled with alfresco dining and delicious home-cooked meals. We gather around outdoor tables, sharing food. Food that tastes far better than anything we think to prepare in our usual routine. Fresh air, good company, and the sound of birdsong create a serene backdrop to our leisurely meals, making every bite more memorable. But no summer visit to the Cotswolds is complete without a trip to my favourite destination. Just a stone’s throw from Stow-on-the-Wold: Daylesford Organic Farm.

Carol Bamford’s Style
Daylesford Organic Farm is a place that fills me with inspiration. Sparking creative ideas for styling my home and garden. Over the years, I’ve admired Carol Bamford’s philosophy of returning to the basics—a sentiment that deeply resonates with me. In today’s world, where pesticides, hormones, and quick-fix methods dominate agriculture, her approach to sustainable farming and organic living feels like the only path forward. Like Carol Bamford, I believe we must nurture our food, soil, and animals in the way our ancestors did over a century ago, allowing nature to restore itself without harmful interference. Since embracing this mindset, I’ve become more intentional about supporting local farmers and purchasing fresh produce from markets. Mindful choices, however small, can lead to a more balanced, healthful life.

Daylesford Interiors
Now, let’s get back to why visiting Daylesford Organic Farm is always a highlight of my Cotswolds trip. From the moment I walk through the doors, I’m captivated by the vibrant display of fruits and vegetables. It feels like stepping into a world where freshness and quality reign supreme. I always make mental notes as I wander through the food hall, planning what to stock in my larder at home. The interior section is my personal haven—a treasure trove of home décor that perfectly blends rustic charm with seasonal elegance. Carol Bamford’s unique style—a balance of organic textures and pops of colour—is on full display, from raw linen tablecloths to stylish napkins.

What’s In My Daylesford Organic Farm Shopping Basket
This year, I treated myself to a set of Daylesford ceramic measuring cups, which have already become a staple in my kitchen for weekend family meals and baking lemon drizzle cakes. If my credit card permitted, I would happily bring home every piece of Daylesford’s linen and crockery collection, especially the delightful splatterware in every colour. Instead, I build my collection piece by piece, savouring each addition.
Further A Field
During this visit, we picked up fresh quiches and pastries for lunch but struggled to find a picnic bench. A small gate nestled between hedgerows caught my eye. Leading us to a quiet spot that felt like a hidden sanctuary. Here, we found peace as we watched sheep graze on green hills. The soft bleating blending with the gentle breeze. It was a magical moment of tranquillity. A simple, beautiful memory that reminded me life’s true treasures are these fleeting pockets of happiness.

Our Trip Home From The Cotswolds
After our serene lunch, we returned to the bustling farm shop to fill my basket. Filled with chutneys, sauces, and other delightful finds to last until my next visit. Leaving Daylesford Organic Farm always brings a sense of contentment. Knowing it was the perfect way to close out another unforgettable summer bank holiday. As we journeyed home to Lancashire, my heart felt full, my mind buzzing with inspiration, and my spirit nourished by the magic of the Cotswolds.
